Tarn & Garonne
Tarn & Garonne forms a crossroads where one meets the mountainous influences of the Massif Central and the more gentle conditions of the Gascony.
Situated between the Atlantic and the Mediterranian, Tarn & Garonne has a temperate maritime climate. The winters are generally mild and wet interrupted with short cold spells. Very cold winters are rare in Tarn & Garonne. Snow falls are infrequent as are ice storms. The summers are hot and mainly dry. The rain, brought by the westerly weather systems, falls mainly in the winter and spring with an emphasis in May. Rain storms, sometimes quite strong and accompanied by hail, are mainly in the spring through to the autumn.
